Gold Standard from the Commission on Accreditation
of Ambulance Service
AMR is the only emergency medical service provider in San
Diego County to earn a Gold Standard from the Commission on Accreditation
of Ambulance Services (CAAS), and we have retained accreditation since
1994.
The standards required for CAAS accreditation govern all
aspects of AMR’s system including clinical, training, education,
quality improvement, fleet, dispatch, human resources and business operations.
CAAS recognized AMR San Diego with its Gold Standard in
1994 and has awarded extensions through 2008, making us one of only 102
organizations across the country to attain such recognition.
